CONCEPT
Lee Brennan Design was born in 2008, with a relatively natural progression from a 10 year construction background. The step to Furniture, Jewellery and Interior Design Concepts was triggered by a number of reasons, including a greater desire for creative freedom and to carry forward the possibilities and integrity that come with recycled materials. Demolition yards, derelict barns and houses, decommissioned bridges and wharfs, provide the backbone of the furniture & fit out designs. Not only have these materials proved their structural integrity they have also developed a rugged charm that comes only through many years exposed to a harsh Australian climate. Lee Brennan Design strives to improve waste management and a heightened responsibility in the construction industry while promoting the beauty and strength of it’s veteran materials.
JEWELLERY
Our progressive collections of jewellery are as with all our designs focused around a reductive process, to nurture the unrefined beauty of the materials to the surface. Inspired by hand beaten artifacts, and the minimal philosophy that deeply connects with emotions experienced in the nobility of poor, humble, hand forged objects. This affection for the unpretentious is heightened by our love for imperfections, along with an attachment to the qualities evident in unfinished art or sculpture. Materials used 316 Stainless Steel, 22k Yellow Gold, 925 Sterling Silver & Bronze.

The gift from our construction background and it’s education in proportion and balance has assisted in making the transition to furniture a seamless motion. Following the constant theme of our work in allowing each design to react naturally with the choice of materials brings a consistency of outcomes which can be felt through textures, warmth and honest authenticity. Every piece conceived is a vision inspired by raw material. Our furniture is a ceaseless personal journey for refined simplicity, and as in all our creations the celebration of beauty through imperfection.
